Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in New Braunfels, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse, located in the region, specializes in providing critical care for adult and pediatric patients in high-acuity settings. The position involves practicing independently and delivering routine and complex nursing care within a regional advanced cardiac hospital environment. Job Details Position Description: The role involves providing care in a high-acuity emergency department for adult and pediatric patients, including those with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and resuscitation needs. The nurse practices independently, coordinates with the healthcare team, and demonstrates awareness of clinical contingencies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications. Valid RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license. No minimum years of experience required. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days 7 AM - 7 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: All experienced registered nurses must attend a New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, including competency validation and onboarding requirements. New hires may participate in a residency program or other orientation options, with competency completion documented through designated software.
