The Lodges operates 12 residential care homes that offer 24 hour assisted living services. Each home accommodates 5 -14 residents comfortably. Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous health care experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in Assisted Living is preferred but not required.
• Experience in Mental and Behavioral health is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the following may be an indicator of and align with a candidate that could find success in this role:
  o Recreational Aide/Coordinator
  o Wellness Coach
  o Art/Music Therapy Aide
  o Certified Activity Professional
  o Paraprofessional
  
  
  o Special Education Aide/Coordinator
  o Mental Health Coach
  o Mental Health Practitioner
  
  
  o Other Mental Health experience
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role preferred.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Must be able to lift 20lbs+, Stand, Sit, or Walk for long Periods.
• Must live out company's values.
• Must be able to pass a criminal and/or abuse background check, and drug screening.
• Must be fluent in English language with ability to document and communicate clearly, including but not limited to verbal and written form.

OTHER SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with a vulnerable and/or elderly population.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with residents, family members, team, and leaders.
• Able to work irregular hours, occasional weekends, and evenings.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Must be punctual, with satisfactory attendance record. Provide proper notice of tardiness or absence.
• Employees in this position may be required to operate a personal or company vehicle on behalf of the company, including travel between communities or other work-related travel. Employees must meet all company driving eligibility requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Tasks:

• Collaborate and support the writing of Resident socialization plans, based upon Resident goals.
• Communicate timely, clearly, effectively, and in a positive and supportive nature with residents, families, and staff.
• Responds to resident concerns or complaints.
• Offers suggestions and ideas for life enrichment, socialization, activity improvement and implementation.
• Reports injuries to self, residents, or visitors immediately to supervisor.
• Communicates client change in condition to RN, immediately.
• Works to assure facility is in compliance with federal state and local standards and regulations.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of resident, resident's records and resident living environments.
• Communicates and documents resident needs to staff as needed.
• Understands and adheres to the Vulnerable Adult and Abuse prevention policy. Is familiar with the home care Bill of Rights and adheres to it.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with staff of The Lodges, including providing backup to other staff as needed and appropriate.
• Provide proactive, constructive participation in staff meetings, committees, etc.
• Keeps leaders informed and involved and advised of needs and problems.
• Problem solve and think creatively, "outside the box" when planning and carrying out Resident activities/socialization plans.
• Staff Behavior Training
• Transporting residents is an essential function of this position. Employees are required to operate a company or personal vehicle in accordance with company policy and all applicable safety requirements. Employees must maintain driving eligibility at all times.

Activities and Socialization:

• Executes socialization and activities program and plans.

• Assist in ordering and maintaining supplies needed for activities as needed.

• Assists with special events and Resident/family functions.

• Assists Residents in developing interpersonal relationships in socializing effectively and in developing the confidence needed to participate in group activities.

• Must have knowledge of crafts, games; ability to think outside the box and be creative in supporting Resident socialization goals.

• Record keeping procedures, activity procedures and knowledge of the community.

• Responsible for meeting any applicable regulatory requirements as they relate to activities.

POSITION CONTACTS:

• This position reports to and is supervised by the Operations Manager

• Develop good working relationships with entire on-site staff.
