Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,367 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

PCU RN - Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS - 1 Year Exp

- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia/Covid, Post OP- knees, hips, falls.

- Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of experience excellent patient care great documentation. Must have 1 year PCU (MS-Tele experience only not appropriate) or prior ICU experience. Will accept travel duos. Will accept first time travelers. Must have Cerner experience.

- Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes.

- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes 1 CNA to cover ratio dependent on census (if have more than 6 patients).

- RT Equipment: Vented pt transfer to a higher level of care.

- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Remote Tele, RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting strips. Eau Clair to monitor remotely.

- Shifts & Scheduling: We have a scheduler that works with staff, self schedule and balance, filling in gaps in perm staff schedule.

Travelers are asked to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent staffing. Will consider block scheduling but not guaranteed.
