DC Assistant Manager (Area Manager) - Second Shift!

As a DC Assistant Manager (Area Manager) at Bob’s Discount Furniture, you will oversee the daily operations of an assigned warehouse area, ensuring efficiency, safety, and engagement. This role is key to maintaining production goals, supporting associates, and fostering a strong safety culture. You will partner with Operations and HR leadership to drive results, coach employees, and support business needs in a fast‑paced distribution environment. What You’ll Bring to Bob’s Warehouse operations leadership with focus on safety, performance, and labor management Ability to monitor and achieve production goals (daily, weekly, monthly) Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably SAP) Strong computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams Effective coaching, feedback, and performance management of associates Time record validation and workforce scheduling Preferred Competencies & Skills Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and listening Multi‑tasking abilities with attention to quality and accuracy Team morale building through engagement and recognition initiatives Ability to physically support warehouse activities when required Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a lead/supervisory role Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems Ability to stand and walk up to 80% of the time Physical Demands Frequent standing and walking throughout the distribution center. Ability to support warehouse tasks with direct labor when needed.
