Our client is seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineer to join their growing data team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a long-term contract engagement where you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will also provide technical leadership to a small offshore engineering team.

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineer to join their growing data team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a long-term contract engagement where you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will also provide technical leadership to a small offshore engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines using GCP services including Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Airflow (DAGs)
- Perform data ingestion, preparation, and reporting to support business intelligence and analytics needs
- Coordinate and provide technical leadership to X-X offshore engineers
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Proficiency with Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Apache Airflow (DAGs)
- Strong SQL skills
- Solid background in Data Engineering - ingestion, preparation, and reporting
- Experience coordinating or leading offshore engineering teams
- Experience with additional GCP data services
- Familiarity with data warehousing and BI reporting tools
