Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and myocardial infarction. The position requires delivering high-level ICU expertise in a fast-paced environment with a diverse caseload.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every third weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Iowa Registered Nursing license; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); a minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred; proficiency in managing drips such as vasopressors, sedation medications (levo, neo, cardene, precedex, propofol); and experience with ventilators, bipaps, and high flow devices.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Float: Float to lower levels of care, including progressive care unit (PCU) and medical-surgical units; training provided.
• Additional Information: Must pass pass/fail exam during orientation with at least a 90% score; artificial nails are prohibited; candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule with no recent past employment with any associated facilities; RTO requests must be made upfront.
• Charting System: EPIC.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts; rotates every third weekend; holiday coverage includes July 4th.
