Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Northport, AL, 35403. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel vehicles, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
