We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our committed team on a part-time basis.
As a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist at Sherman Chan, DDS, Inc., you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and disease prevention. You will provide thorough dental hygiene services, patient education, and support the clinical team to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care. This position offers a manageable patient schedule with ample time to build rapport and deliver personalized, compassionate care.

Pay

$70~$80 per hour

Requirements

• Dentrix
• Eaglesoft
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Open Dental
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

Current and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of California
Proven experience (1-2 years preferred) in dental hygiene, including prophylaxis, root planing, and periodontal maintenance
Proficiency in dental radiography including periapical x-rays
Strong communication and patient education skills
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix (preferred)

Job Description

Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
Conduct patient screenings and take digital dental radiographs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, disease prevention, and overall dental health
Collaborate effectively with the dentist and clinical team to coordinate treatment plans and ensure optimal patient care
Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, keeping a clean and organized workspace
Utilize Dentrix or similar dental practice management software to record patient information and appointments
Foster a positive and empathetic patient experience through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
