- # Material HandlerApply: Theodore, AL: Full time: Posted Today: View phone number on click.appcast.io# What You'll Be Doing**Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:*** Raw Material Unloading: Safely and efficiently unload raw materials from railcars and tanker trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed.* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all site and unit safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety training programs.* Equipment Operation: Operate unloading equipment and tools such as hoses, pumps, valves, and other related machinery. Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.* Documentation: Accurately complete required paperwork and logs related to material unloading, including tracking quantities and ensuring proper labeling.* Communication: Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other plant personnel to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise during unloading activities.* Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with site housekeeping standards.* Emergency Response: Actively participate in emergency response drills and procedures as required by the plant.* Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and ensure smooth workflow, as needed.# # Ideal Background**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** **Experience**: Previous experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.* **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.* **Safety Awareness**: Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow strict safety protocols.* **Communication Skills**: Ability to read and understand written instructions, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
