Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care within a telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have experience managing telemetry patients and be committed to ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain continuous monitoring of patients' cardiac rhythms and promptly respond to abnormal findings.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and standard protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Current PA or Compact RN license required; active certifications including BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a telemetry or critical care setting.
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems; Cerner experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to float within the hospital and adapt to various patient care needs.
• Willingness to work night shifts and every other holiday.
