Commercial Analyst

Salary & Location Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,500 per year. Boston based opportunity with a 4‑day in‑office expectation (Monday – Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday). Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting : Work with large datasets to identify trends, perform analyses, and develop reports to drive business decisions across different Commercial functions. Strategic Execution : Contribute to the development and execution of key initiatives across marketing, pricing, product curation, and competitive analysis that align with Wayfair’s growth strategies. Supplier Partnership Optimization : Partner with suppliers to optimize product offerings, refine selection, and enhance the shopping experience by using data to guide decisions. Customer Experience Enhancement : Use insights from customer behavior and feedback to continuously refine and enhance the shopping experience across Wayfair platforms. Problem‑Solving : Tackle ambiguous challenges by leveraging analytical skills to generate actionable solutions that deliver measurable improvements in profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Technology Utilization : Use advanced analytical tools and techniques (Excel, SQL, R, Python) to build data-driven insights and recommend improvements to business processes and outcomes. Qualifications 0–3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co‑op experience. Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI. Possible Team Placements Analyst, Global Credit Card Programs : The Fintech & Loyalty organization builds and manages foundational systems, financial products, and fraud detection and prevention services that provide customers with a secure, seamless, and rewarding payment experience. North America/Europe Retail Tech Analytics : The team empowers stakeholders across the Global Supplier Organization to grow their businesses through data‑driven analytics, scalable tools, and streamlined processes. Global Marketing : The team drives growth for Wayfair on every major advertising platform, owning the strategy, analytics, and operations for our portfolio of cutting‑edge digital and offline marketing channels. Profit Management : The team drives the pricing strategy, execution, and ultimately the gross margin profitability across all Wayfair brands. Competitive Intelligence : The team gathers data on Wayfair’s competitors and leverages it to meet business goals by evaluating market share, optimizing competitor web pages, and testing novel competitor‑data sources. Curation, Brands, & Stores Analytics : The centralized analytics group covering all brands and channels provides tools, reporting, and insights to drive excellent customer outcomes. Catalog Merchandising : The team ensures Wayfair is an easy, intuitive, and stable place for suppliers to sell their products, supporting the product lifecycle from addition to presentation. Global Sales : The team drives revenue growth across all of Wayfair’s marketplaces and channels worldwide, optimizing the customer journey at a global scale. Promotions : Analysts use data to drive profitable top‑line revenue and work cross‑functionally to affect product selection, merchandising, operations, and marketing initiatives.
