Senior Director, Program Management

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Program Management to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment. Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $227,500 – $318,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the global Program Team alongside the Program Executive to drive strategy and execution Collaborate with functional leaders to integrate sub-team activities into the overarching program strategy Maintain integrated global cross-functional program timelines highlighting milestones and dependencies Develop and execute integrated registration strategies with various operational teams Define program milestones and develop scenario-based plans alongside senior leadership Communicate program risks and resource needs effectively to governance committees and team stakeholders Manage risks at the program level and drive alignment across diverse disciplines Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA preferred) with 18+ years in drug development Proven success leading cross-functional teams through the drug development process, especially NDA/BLA submissions Demonstrated experience in managing tactical and operational aspects including agendas and timelines Strong technical proficiency in Smartsheet and SharePoint site management Practical experience with project management methodologies; PMP certification preferred Benefits Health and welfare benefit plans Non-accrual paid time off and company shut down for holidays Commuter benefits and 401K match Daily lunch provided in the office Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
