Litigation Associate 

I'm partnering with a highly respected law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented attorney looking to handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters alongside a collaborative and accomplished team.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience and a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy. Attorneys with experience in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation are especially encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Manage and support a broad range of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and argue motions, conduct legal research, and prepare substantive written work product
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in state and federal courts
• Work closely with clients and senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation management
• Contribute to trial preparation and trial proceedings as opportunities arise

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Washington State Bar admission
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative litigation team

Preferred Background

• Insurance coverage and bad faith litigation experience
• Deposition, oral argument, and trial experience
• Federal and state court experience
• Prior experience with a large law firm or established litigation boutique
• Admission in Washington plus Oregon, Idaho, and/or Alaska is highly valued, particularly for attorneys with experience practicing across multiple Pacific Northwest jurisdictions
