SCHOOL Job ID: 5733450 Application Deadline: May 29, 2026 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time) Posted: May 22, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: To Be Determined Position Type: Full-Time Job Description Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; Eligible for a valid Texas teacher certificate appropriate for teaching assignment; General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies; Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations; A minimum of four (4) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting preferred; Must be willing to obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate; Experience as a coach in more than one sport preferred; Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities. Terms of Employment Probationary/Term Contract: 187 days Salary Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) as approved by the Board of Trustees 2019-2020. Additional athletic stipend as approved. Essential Functions Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors Tools/Equipment Used: Athletic equipment, standard office equipment including computer and peripherals, other instructional equipment, AED, operate a school bus. Posture: Prolonged standing; kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping; frequent driving; moderate grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and reaching. Motion: Frequent walking and physical movements associated with the sport(s) assigned. Lifting: Frequently light lifting (less than 15 pounds); occasional moderate lifting or carrying (15-44 pounds). Environment: Work outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, inclement weather) and inside; frequent exposure to noise; frequent district-wide and state-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; moderate exposure to vehicle fumes and work around moving vehicles. Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress.
