Avionics Technician

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable aviation operation with consistent work, long-term potential, and a strong team environment. We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians for an opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, supporting maintenance operations on Shorts 360 cargo aircraft. Candidates do not need previous Shorts 360 experience. We are looking for skilled Avionics Technicians with strong aircraft electrical and avionics maintenance experience who can bring their technical expertise to the team and learn the platform. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on aircraft avionics experience with a strong background in troubleshooting, testing, repair, wiring, component replacement, and electrical system maintenance in a hangar environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics and electrical maintenance on Shorts 360 cargo aircraft Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test aircraft avionics and electrical systems Perform wiring repairs, modifications, terminations, continuity checks, and system testing Remove, install, repair, and replace avionics and electrical components Troubleshoot aircraft discrepancies using wiring diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals, and other technical data Inspect wiring, connectors, components, and electrical systems for defects, damage, and proper operation Perform operational and functional checks following maintenance and repairs Ensure all maintenance and repair work is properly documented in accordance with FAA regulations and company requirements Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Collaborate with mechanics, leads, inspectors, and management to meet maintenance schedules and aircraft delivery requirements Follow all company safety procedures, FAA regulations, and quality standards

Requirements


Minimum 2+ years of aircraft avionics or electrical maintenance experience required Strong aircraft troubleshooting and electrical experience required Previous Shorts 360 experience is a plus but is not required Aircraft-specific experience is not required; candidates with avionics experience on other aircraft platforms are encouraged to apply Experience with aircraft wiring, electrical systems, troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and component removals/installations Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, aircraft maintenance manuals, and technical data Experience using avionics and electrical test equipment Ability to accurately identify and troubleshoot electrical and avionics discrepancies FCC license or NCATT certification is a plus but not required A&P License is a plus but not required Must have own basic tools required for the position Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and FAA compliance
