Accounts Payable ManagerSaronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale our accounts payable function during a period of rapid growth. This role will manage a team of AP professionals and oversee high-volume, complex payables across domestic and international operations. You will play a key role in improving processes and ensuring timely, accurate payments in a complex manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of Accounts Payable specialists, fostering accountability, growth, and high performanceOversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments and expense reimbursementsManage domestic and international vendor payments, including foreign currency transactions and compliance with local regulationsPartner closely with Procurement, Accounting, Legal and Finance teams to ensure proper GL coding and streamline workflowsProcess and submit year-end 1099 reports and forms, prepare reports for proper allocation of sales taxes by state, and maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulationsOwn month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reportingDrive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to support scale and efficiencyMaintain positive vendor relationships and resolve escalations in a professional, timely mannerSupport audits by providing documentation, explanations, and process insightsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including at least 2+ years managing a teamA fluent understanding of the three-way matching process and direct and indirect materials procurement workflowsExperience operating in a fast-growing, complex organizationStrong knowledge of accounts payable best practicesExperience with international payments, multi-currency environments, and global vendorsProficiency with modern ERP systems and AP automation tools (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment with evolving prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environmentExperience scaling AP processes during periods of rapid company growthPhysical DemandsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Occasional standing and walking within the office.Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).BenefitsMedical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of servicesSaronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependentsDental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision careSaronic pays 100% of the premium under the basic plan for employees and 80% for dependentsTime Off: Generous PTO and HolidaysParental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parentsCompetitive Salary: Industry-standard salaries with opportunities for performance-based bonusesRetirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company matchStock Options: Equity options to give employees a stake in the company's successLife and Disability Insurance: Basic life insurance and short- and long-term disability coveragePet Insurance: Discounted pet insurance options including 24/7 Telehealth helplineAdditional Perks: Free lunch benefit and unlimited free drinks and snacks in the officeSaronic CCPA Notice for Candidates and California EmployeesIf this role is based in the United States, it requires access to export-controlled information or items that require "U.S. Person" status.
