Job Overview A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney in Alexandria, VA. The role involves specializing in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications within the chemical applications field. Duties Prepare and file patent applications. Determine the potential for granting patents and monitor infringement possibilities. Educate and counsel clients on relevant legal issues. Develop and manage client relationships. Provide litigation support on pending applications as necessary. Perform other related duties as required. Requirements One year of experience or related patent application experience required. Must be a member of a state bar. Must have passed the US patent bar exam. Experience in preparing patents for chemical applications is essential. Writing sample required. Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable. Education JD or LLM, or foreign equivalent, in Law required.
