Respiratory Therapist

Position involves providing respiratory care at a Children's Recovery Center, including planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments. Deliver direct respiratory services, manage ventilators, and ensure airway patency. Monitor patient responses, adjust therapies, and document activities thoroughly. Assess respiratory care plans, discuss variances with physicians, and develop patient-specific strategies. Participate in patient rounds, serve as a resource for team members, and communicate care updates. Educate patients and families about treatments and pulmonary health. Engage in clinical meetings, training, and contribute to developing new procedures and techniques. Perform emergency procedures, respond to cardiopulmonary arrests, and ensure safety standards. Maintain equipment, ensure quality controls, and uphold professional competency. Qualifications Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of recent acute care or hospital respiratory therapy experience, especially ventilator management.
