The ideal candidate will have experience in pain medicine and a passion for helping patients manage and relieve their spinal pain.The Registered Nurse systematically and continuously collects and assesses data in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic care with the patient and/or family. Performs all required elements of a nursing assessment including but not limited to physical examination, assessment of readiness to learn, psychosocial assessment, functional assessment and utilization of patient/family specific assessment scales as required.The Registered Nurse is an active member of the inter-professional team and collaborates in the development, execution and evaluation of the interprofessional plan of care or critical pathway. The Registered Nurse considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering care. The Registered Nurse’s decisions and actions with patients and families are determined in an ethical mannerJob Description:Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):Integrates nursing interventions into the interprofessional plan of care, incorporating appropriate standards of care and practice and patient outcomesImplements safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures and standards, and interventions as noted on the interprofessional plan of care.Sets priorities adapting to changing patient and unit/clinic situations. In response to data indicating urgent and/or emergent risk to patient, initiates action to reduce or correct risk.Assumes responsibility and accountability for effectively managing nursing care of individual patients/families as a team member.Documents the nursing process to reflect a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient and family care.Evaluates patient's responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relationship to established outcomes and consults with Medical Staff and Spine Center Team regarding clinical variances and recommended changes to the plan of care.Identifies learning needs of patients/families and teaches by adapting standard information to provide individualized and comprehensive teaching and learning.QUALIFICATIONS:MA RN LicenseBLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferredACLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferredExperience working at a teaching hospital and/or specialty area expertiseEDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree requiredMINIMUM EXPERIENCE:0-1 year of experienceOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Consistently promote a culture of Wellbeing, Empathy, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Equity as outlined in the organization's WE CARE values.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks while following practice standards, policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, statutes and regulationsAbility to communicate and handle sensitive and confidential information ensuring compliance with HIPAA and NEBH patient confidentiality and privacy policiesStrong verbal communication skills. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
