Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and plays a vital role in providing quality patient care through accurate specimen collection and processing.

Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Primarily scheduled:
- 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, or
- 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
- Occasional overnight shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every third weekend evening
- Two overnight holidays per year
- Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using age-appropriate techniques
- Process and prepare specimens for testing
- Utilize computer systems for test ordering and information lookup
- Answer phones, take orders, and assist with problem-solving activities
- Operate point-of-care testing devices
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical knowledge preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience preferred; training will be provided
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
