Job Description This job is responsible for working with Portfolio Manager(s) to establish and execute a risk-based coverage plan for a portfolio or set of portfolios. Key responsibilities include leading examinations as an Examiner-in-Charge or Assistant Examiner-in-Charge, executing transaction reviews, secondary reviews of transactional testing completed by others, and issues management. Job expectations include managing field work capacity for exams to ensure accurate and timely execution of Credit Review examinations, including work product of new or less experienced team members. Position Summary Credit Review provides an independent assessment of credit decisions and the effectiveness of credit processes across the bank’s credit platform, identifies existing and emerging risks, and reports findings to stakeholders, including executive management, the Board or committee, external auditors and regulatory agencies. The Portfolio Specialist works with the Credit Review Portfolio Manager(s) to establish and execute a risk-based coverage plan for assessing the quality of credit decisioning and the effectiveness of credit processes and policies. Responsibilities include executing transaction reviews, leading examinations as an Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) or Assistant Examiner-in-Charge (AEIC), secondary reviews of testing, and issues management. Manages field work capacity, coaches and mentors junior team members, and maintains relationships with Risk and regulatory partners. Assists in preparing quarterly Business Assessment Reports and Coverage Plans; stays aware of current economic trends and their impact on credit portfolios. We are looking for a Portfolio Specialist to join our Credit Review team supporting Global Markets, Financial Institutions and Global Wealth and Investment Management businesses. Responsibilities Participates in exam activities and may serve as an Examiner-in-Charge, Assistant Examiner-in-Charge, or Examiner Performs transactional testing of credit process execution for new and existing clients, providing direct and timely feedback Assists with portfolio reporting and engages in stakeholder discussions with the Portfolio Manager Tracks and follows observations from exams and testing Provides regulator updates on results and responds to inquiries Engages with Corporate Audit to ensure awareness of review activity, coordination, and risk assessment Manages issues, including severity ratings, action plans, issue status tracking, and validation Drives continuous improvement through complex projects; produces quality, timely work Maintains well-written work papers in line with Credit Review guidelines and best practices Required Qualifications Minimum of 8–10 years of commercial credit experience Ability to support conclusions through fact-based analysis and influence senior leaders Excellent credit analysis, project management and leadership skills Experience in risk management, lending and/or regulatory agencies Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple complex tasks with high-quality results Data manipulation and analysis skills Experience with leading without authority Bachelor’s Degree with a preference in finance, accounting, economics or related business concentration Desired Qualifications 10+ years of direct commercial credit experience; experience managing traded products and complex structured financing facilities with asset managers and institutional clients globally Experience identifying and reporting on risks Direct applicability to Credit Review responsibilities Ability to coach/mentor associates Proficiency in Excel Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity Skills Audit Planning Financial Analysis Internal Audit Review Risk Management Underwriting Business Acumen Credit and Risk Assessment Critical Thinking Issue Management Portfolio Analysis Analytical Thinking Regulatory Compliance Relationship Building Stakeholder Management Written Communications Shift 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week 40 #J-18808-Ljbffr Bank of America
