Job Summary:


The SOC Analyst 1 is a Tier I level security operations center analyst responsible for supporting a 24/7 network security operations center (NSOC). The role involves proactive monitoring, event classification, escalation, and incident response at mission-essential communication sites. The analyst will work onsite, contributing to operational readiness and continuous security monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Support a 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for critical communication sites and information systems.
• Classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
• Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation.
• Capture, log, respond to, and escalate events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
• Collect and analyze technical data to distinguish valid security events from false positives.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended responses.
• Provide support during network and security incidents, assisting with resolution efforts as directed.

• 1-3 years of experience working in a security operations center.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Familiarity with triage accuracy standards and escalation protocols.

• Must be willing to work full-time onsite at the specified location.
