Hiring - SOC Analyst I in Harrisburg, PA

Job Summary:

The SOC Analyst 1 is a Tier I level security operations center analyst responsible for supporting a 24/7 network security operations center (NSOC). The role involves proactive monitoring, event classification, escalation, and incident response at mission-essential communication sites. The analyst will work onsite, contributing to operational readiness and continuous security monitoring.

Responsibilities:

Support a 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for critical communication sites and information systems.
Classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation.
Capture, log, respond to, and escalate events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
Collect and analyze technical data to distinguish valid security events from false positives.
Collaborate with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended responses.
Provide support during network and security incidents, assisting with resolution efforts as directed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Willingness to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 schedule.
1-3 years of experience working in a security operations center.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience with developing playbooks, dashboards, and detection strategies.
Familiarity with triage accuracy standards and escalation protocols.

Special Considerations:

Must be willing to work full-time onsite at the specified location.
In-person interviews are required.
Must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the 24/7 shift schedule.

24/7 shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Flexible shifts required to maintain continuous operational coverage.
