Inventory Specialist

This role involves supporting the order desk, where you will meet and greet walk-in customers, providing guidance on the showroom layout of stone slabs. You will physically show customers the slabs and track all incoming and outgoing inventory using our Warehouse Management System, Profit.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers by explaining the showroom layout.
• Physically show stone slabs to customers in the showroom.
• Track incoming and outgoing inventory using the Profit system.
• Receive load sheets and perform data entry into the computer.
• Read and interpret Excel sheets to manage inventory.
• Monitor inventory movement and ensure accurate tracking.
• Answer phones and assist with customer inquiries and orders.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in inventory or order desk roles.
• 1+ year of computer experience.
• Proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness and ability to answer phones and greet customers.

Work Environment

Work in a national distribution environment for natural and manufactured stone, tile, and solid surfaces, serving commercial and residential applications. The warehouse operates Monday to Friday from 7AM – 5PM, with eventual hours changing to 6AM – 4PM and rotating Saturdays from 9AM – 1PM. Closed on Sundays and Holidays. Dress code includes steel-toed shoes, work jeans, and a plain t-shirt. Heavy lifting is not required, and refreshments like water, ice, Gatorade, and coffee are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
