Facilities Specialist

Facilities SpecialistHeritage Classical Academy is seeking a qualified Facilities Specialist. Applicants should possess a vibrant Christian testimony demonstrating a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Applicants should also fully support HCA's Statement of Faith and be excited about the great tradition of classical Christian education. The ideal applicant has knowledge and experience in the fields of maintenance, groundskeeping, and other trades.Job Requirements:Full support of Heritage's Statement of Faith, Mission, and Vision statementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, including OutlookDegree preferred, but not requiredStrong problem solving abilitiesExperience in facilities maintenance, trades, and/or handyman experienceAbility to communicate well and manage volunteers, vendors when neededMain location for this position is Peninsula Campus, with possible work at Pepper Pike Campus as needed.Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security and fire systems is a plus.Problem solving skills for unexpected repairs and emergency situations.Job Responsibilities:Conduct oneself with Christ-like professional behaviorPerform daily maintenance inspections before and after schoolTroubleshoot maintenance issues that arisePerform basic handyman and maintenance proceduresOversee third party vendors, such as janitorial, HVAC, electric, water, sanitation, etc.Manage volunteers to implement and oversee campus projectsSupport faculty and staff with facilities/campus needs such as setting up/tearing down for events, classroom needsMonitor the cleanliness of the grounds and facilitiesMonitor supply inventory; order supplies as neededSupport campus safety such as traffic flow, parking, building alarms, safety compliance, surveillance, etc.Other duties as assignedAbout Heritage Classical Academy: Heritage Classical Academy is a preschool through high school classical Christian school located in Northeast Ohio, thirty minutes from Cleveland.
