As a Security Officer Access Verification in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help support a smooth, professional entry process through screening activities, access support, and strong communication. This role blends customer service with security-related awareness, giving you the chance to stay engaged, work with integrity, and contribute to a caring, reliable, and team-focused environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and site requirements, documenting findings and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations during busy shipping and receiving activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and distribution operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or operational issues that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
