If you are passionate about providing quality service and have experience in venipuncture, this position provides a rewarding chance to contribute to vital diagnostic processes.– Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimens to ensure timely and accurate laboratory analysis – Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens safely and efficiently – Observe and collect urine specimens from patients, including observed and supervised collections – Correctly identify patients before specimen collection, following departmental policies – Properly label and document specimens, then prepare them for shipment – Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff – Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population, understanding their needs and providing reassurance – Follow Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and confidentiality – Report any low volume shifts, unusual problems, or procedural deviations to supervisors – Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times – Assist with office and processing supplies as needed to support smooth workflow– Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience – Proven ability to provide excellent customer service – Reliable with a strong work ethic – Strong computer skills, including managing multiple programs and email – Fast and accurate data entry skills – Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal– Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs – Physical ability to perform frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting – Prior experience in specimen collection and processing preferred – Certifications/licenses related to phlebotomy are advantageous – Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM; 40 hours per week – High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in phlebotomy preferredTake the opportunity to become an integral part of a clinical team focused on accurate specimen collection and patient care.
