Automation Technician II

Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.Job SummaryThe Automation Technician II will inspect, test, adjust and repair new or existing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices and systems. This position will also diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTests, inspect and adjust sensors, meters, gauges, and controllers for accuracyAble to read and identify components on a controls drawingThe ability to identify mechanical equipment on drawings (chillers, boilers, pumps, AHU's, FCU's, VAV's, etc.)Understand basic electrical control circuits including 24VAC power and controller input/outputsUnderstand simple controls networking principlesDisplay knowledge of controls hardwareAbility to implement systems graphics per project scopeReplace defective wiring and tubingRecords calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on handPrepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems for as-built drawingsMonitor, identify and diagnose potential problems using computer workstations and on-site observationsInterface with the installation or maintenance team members to execute installations, repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipmentSchedule equipment run times as requested and produce system reports of trends, histories, etc.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.A minimum of (4) years of relevant experience, with at least two years as an automation technician.Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls system (preferably Distech, Delta, Alerton, ALC or Tridium).Knowledge of mechanical systemsEngineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programmingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with control system architecture design, programming or maintenance desiredGood computer skills, understanding of controls networkingA valid driver's license.Location: MesaEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and we are committed to offering a comprehensive benefits package.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage; health savings and flexible spending accounts; life insurance; disability; 401(k) Savings Plan; College Coach; employee assistance program.#J-18808-Ljbffr
