Senior Plant Operator

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Senior Operator based out of our Newark, NJ location to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our materials in our East Region. This role is responsible for operations of the recycling plant.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Day to day operations of recycled asphalt
• Operating loader to load material in plant
• Material clean up using skid steer
• Plant maintenance
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• 2-4 years related experience
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Basic computer, working with hands, welding
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.

Compensation

$26.52 - $31.83 Hrly
