Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on conveyors, pumps, compressors, and a variety of production machinery, as well as general facilities maintenance. This role requires prior facilities or industrial maintenance experience and offers a clear path to grow into electrical maintenance and eventually into a full maintenance technician position.

• Perform mechanical repairs on conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other production machinery to ensure reliable operation.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment and facility systems according to established schedules and procedures.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation to diagnose issues and plan repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problems on machinery and facility systems to minimize downtime.
• Complete facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support smooth and safe plant operations.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately for future reference and compliance.
• Collaborate with other technicians and production staff to prioritize work orders and support continuous operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, machinery, and facility equipment.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to advance into electrical maintenance and full technician responsibilities.

• At least 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or facilities environment.
• At least 3+ years of experience reading and working from blueprints and technical drawings.
• At least 3+ years of experience using hand and power tools for mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical repairs on conveyors, pumps, compressors, and similar equipment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Ability to work safely and follow established maintenance and safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of electrical maintenance concepts with interest in further development.

• Experience with CNC repair is a plus.
• Formal technical schooling or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
• Background as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with maintenance and production teams.
• Willingness to participate in employer-supported schooling and training to expand technical skills.

This role is based in a structured industrial or manufacturing setting with a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork. Work is performed on standard production and facility equipment, including conveyors, pumps, compressors, and related machinery, using a variety of hand and power tools. Shifts are available across a 24-hour schedule: first shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., second shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a $1.00 shift premium, and third shift runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. with a $1.50 shift premium. The environment supports ongoing learning, with schooling offered to help employees advance into more specialized maintenance roles.

This is a Permanent position based out of Butler, WI.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
