Setup Technician - Plastic Injection Molding

Responsibilities Set up molds and mold tooling; read specifications to determine machine set-up, temperatures, and times. Perform preventive maintenance on injection molds and troubleshoot machine processes. Repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools. Enter molding parameters in the press. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least two years of recent experience in an injection molding environment. Excellent math skills and ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings. Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools; basic PC and internet skills. Strong written/verbal communication; good decision-making skills. Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities; regular and predictable attendance. Skills Ability to set-up molds and troubleshoot machine processes. Ability to read specifications and interpret technical drawings. Ability to operate and maintain machinery and auxiliary equipment.
