Discover why we're the best.Under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs non-clinical operations of the pharmacy department that fall under the duties of a pharmacy technician in accordance with state, federal and hospital policiesProvides excellent service to patients and hospital staffEnsures adherence to standard operation procedures and compliance with state law, federal law, and regulatory agencies (including but not limited to URAC, ACHC, JACHO) including procedures for billing, storing and dispensing prescription, maintaining records, documentation/compliance, audits, and licensureEnsures the pharmacy remains in compliance with all handling requirements for specialty drugs, including LDDsPerforms duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Supervisor, and Technician Supervisor including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, compounding prescriptions, and maintain workflowImmediately reports quality events to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to hospital policies and procedures in relation to Quality Improvement ProgramsRegisters all sales through the point-of-sale terminal, processes all tender as requiredInteracts with cross-functional teams in the hospital and escalates all clinic concerns to a pharmacist as neededPerforms inventory management activities, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticalsBrings ordering discretions to the immediate attention of managementWorks with management to maintain good relationships with internal and external partners, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providersMaintains pharmacy department by ensuring it is stocked with adequate supplies and that appearance is clean, neat and organizedPacks and ships medications in accordance with department proceduresProvides excellent customer services by answering questions and assisting patients and other professionalsAssists with department and enterprise projects and initiativesPerforms other special projects and duties as assignedThis position will be located at 1129 Westchester Ave, White Plains, NY.Preferred Criteria:Specialty/Retail ExperienceRequired Criteria:High School Diploma or GEDCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)New York State Pharmacy Technician LicenseAbility to perform mathematical calculations, i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionMinimum of one year of Pharmacy experienceJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
