ABOUT THE ROLE: 

As a delivery driver, you play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers or specified locations. Your primary responsibility is to operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, transporting items while adhering to designated routes and schedules. You are entrusted with loading and unloading goods, verifying the accuracy of deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Popup Bagels originated as a backyard pickup window, aiming to share a freshly crafted bagel recipe with friends. It has evolved into multiple PopUp and permanent locations, offering always-fresh weekend pickup. Our mission is simple: preparing the finest, freshest bagels. There is no extravagance, just pure perfection: a crispy crust, a soft crumb center, an ideal size, and the perfect blend of seeds. We're proud recipients of the Brooklyn Bagelfest "Best Bagel" award for two consecutive years, and we're eager for you to experience a dozen of our delectable bagels. 

YOU WILL: 

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle (i.e., van, truck) to transport goods to specified locations. 
• Load, unload, and deliver packages or products to designated destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. 
• Follow routes and schedules provided by dispatch or management, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes or traffic conditions. 
• Verify items and quantities before delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders. 
• Provide excellent customer service, including courteous interactions with customers and timely resolution of delivery-related issues or concerns. 
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving and delivering goods. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues. 
• Complete delivery logs, records, and other paperwork accurately and promptly. 
• Demonstrate professional maturity and strictly uphold PopUp Bagel’s anti-discrimination & anti-harassment policies.

YOU HAVE:

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
• Experience as a delivery driver or a similar position in a prior role is preferred. 
• An eye for detail and solving challenges. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• The willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary. 
• A desire for growth in our business. 
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the position (frequently lifting 30 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds). These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations. 
• The ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional second shifts. 
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
