Senior Full Stack Software Developer

The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will lead the design, development, and support of a cutting-edge Cancer Screening Correspondence Portal using .NET and React technologies. This role involves transforming existing systems into a fully digital platform while ensuring high-quality user experiences, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating closely with product and project teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to project and product teams.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences and ensure product quality and service excellence.
• Mentor Software Development I and Software Engineer I team members on engineering practices and problem-solving.
• Share emerging trends and techniques within the development community.
• Develop and maintain technical and configuration documentation.
• Support QA teams with application testing and provide work estimates for development tasks.
• Conduct code reviews and system design walkthroughs.
• Participate in requirements definition, specification development, and solution design.
• Develop applications within established timeframes and budgets.
• Identify and escalate risks promptly to leadership.
• Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
• Propose alternative methods or resources to overcome work obstacles.
• Review system performance and completion objectives.
• Advocate and support the adoption of new engineering practices to improve team efficiency.
• Engage actively with product management to recommend feature improvements.
• Collaborate to align engineering plans, practices, and solutions with broader strategies.
• Stay current with evolving technologies, architectures, and industry best practices.
• Make high-impact decisions affecting organizational software solutions.
• Occasionally interact with cross-portfolio and external stakeholders.
• Provide production system support ensuring high availability and timely incident resolution.

• Proficiency with React 18, HTML5, and CSS.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, Minimal APIs, and LINQ (.NET 8+).
• Expertise in Azure services including Azure APIM, Azure Service Bus, Azure Containers, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
• Experience with Microservices architecture, Docker containers, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and REDIS Cache.
• Proficient in source control using GIT.
• In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of software security principles and privacy legislation, specifically Protection of Personal Health Information Act (Ontario 2004).
• Experience supporting production systems with high availability and proactive monitoring.

• 8 10 years of extensive software development experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with digital marketing technologies such as campaigns, email, SMS, and chatbots.
• Advanced skills in designing and managing complex multistage Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience developing and managing .NET-based message producers and consumers using Azure Service Bus SDK.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Microsoft certifications in Azure or .NET technologies.
• Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design (OOD/OOP) and relational database design.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Understanding of system administration and networking concepts (Windows Server, Linux, IP, firewall).

• Must comply with healthcare data security and privacy regulations.
• Support production systems requiring high availability and timely incident resolution.
• Occasional cross-portfolio and external stakeholder interactions may be required.
• Preference for candidates with public sector experience.
• Onsite presence required three days per week.

• Work schedule includes a hybrid model with three days onsite weekly.
• Standard business hours with potential for occasional extended hours to support production systems.
