Certified Medical AssistantJoin a clinical team as a Certified Medical Assistant in a fast-paced back-office environment where patient care, workflow support, and provider assistance all matter. This role offers structured training with 1–2 weeks of onboarding, opportunities to contribute to quality improvements, and preferred Epic experience to help you succeed quickly. Spanish-speaking candidates are especially encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and escort them to assigned examination roomsDocument appropriate history, vital signs, and chief complaint for visit typePrepare patients for appropriate visit typeAssist the provider during treatment and/or proceduresAdminister and store medications according to clinic policyMake referrals as appropriate and necessary, as per procedureCollect lab specimens and escort patients to the labAdminister immunizations and injections as appropriate and requestedIdentify opportunities to improve workflow, work processes, and patient care, and work cooperatively to implement quality improvementsAdhere to HIPAA guidelinesMaintain proper inventory and stock exam/treatment rooms with supplies, instruments, and equipmentFollow risk management protocols in the exam room environmentClean and disinfect non-consumable instruments according to established proceduresMaintain order and cleanliness of the nursing station, chart areas, utility rooms, and examination roomsAssist in locating patient referral resources and in follow-up paperworkEnsure all in-house labs are entered into the EMRAnswer the exam area telephone when available and route calls to appropriate personnelRetrieve charts for call back as needed and notify patients of lab results following PCC proceduresRequired SkillsMA certification from an accredited schoolSuccessful completion of an MA externshipDemonstrated knowledge of protocols for medical assistants related to patient care, provider assistance, exam rooms, and records maintenanceExcellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with a diverse populationStrong oral and written communication skillsPatient, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter who can ramp up quickly with minimal supervisionAdditional Skills & RequirementsBilingual in English/Spanish preferredTech savvy and able to utilize a tablet to assist with translationEpic experience preferredTeam player mindsetMinimum experience: 1–2 yearsSchedule includes Monday–Friday hours of 7:45am–5pm, plus occasional evening coverage on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11:45am–8pm (one late shift per week)Training period: 1–2 weeksIf you're a Certified Medical Assistant who enjoys back-office teamwork, patient support, and fast, organized clinic days, apply to join this clinical team.
