**Location:** Irvine, CA**Pay Rate:** $22.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE**Schedule:** Must have open availability, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.**Position Overview**We are seeking experienced and dependable Cooks and Cook Leads to join a dynamic food services teamin Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong food preparation skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality food service while maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards.This role supports a variety of food service operations, including patient dining, cafeteria services, catering, and childcare meal preparation. Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.**Key Responsibilities****Cook**+ Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and specifications.+ Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portion control while minimizing waste.+ Support food production for patient meals, cafeteria operations, catering events, and childcare services.+ Perform food service duties including portioning, serving, transporting food, cashiering, stocking, and inventory support.+ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces.+ Follow food storage, handling, and safety guidelines in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.+ Complete quality control documentation and preventive maintenance logs as required.+ Provide excellent customer service and take ownership of customer interactions.+ Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.**Cook Lead**In addition to Cook responsibilities:+ Direct and coordinate day-to-day activities of food service staff during assigned shifts.+ Assist with oversight of food production and service operations.+ Delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow among team members.+ Collaborate with leadership to maintain operational standards and productivity goals.+ Assist with problem identification and resolution during shifts.+ Serve as a key point of contact in the absence of management staff.**Qualifications****Required Skills**+ Ability to read, understand, and follow written recipes and oral instructions in English.+ Knowledge of food preparation, production, and service operations.+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.+ Strong organizational and time management skills.+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.**Additional Qualifications for Cook Lead**+ Demonstrated leadership abilities.+ Ability to delegate responsibilities and maintain efficient operational standards.+ Experience coordinating staff and workflow in a food service environment preferred.**Schedule Requirements**+ Open availability required.+ Must be available to work weekends and holidays.+ Flexibility to work various shifts based on operational needs.+ Position may require travel between multiple locations within the organization and affiliated sites.Apply today to join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional food service and customer care.**Pay Details:** $22.00 to $24.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
