CAD Drafter

Job Description

Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for utility projects.

Draft plan view, profile view, cross‑sections, and construction details in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Update drawings based on engineer or project manager markups.

Create and manage utility model elements, surfaces, alignments, pipe networks, and grading when needed.

Maintain drawing standards, layer management, and file organization.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure drawing accuracy and project completeness.

Review utility records, as‑builts, and field data to incorporate into CAD deliverables.

Assist in preparing construction plan sets, permitting packages, and utility coordination documents.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience drafting with AutoCAD.

1+ years of experience working in Civil 3D,

Experience drafting utilities (water, sewer, storm, electric, telecom, or gas).

Strong understanding of plan production workflows and CAD standards.

Ability to interpret engineering sketches, redlines, and utility record information.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
