Role Description The Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Macon, GA. This role involves performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions, and providing surgical care, including routine procedures such as spays, neuters, and dental treatments. The Associate Veterinarian will review medical histories, interpret diagnostic tests, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Daily responsibilities include communicating clearly with pet caregivers about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care, as well as collaborating with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. The role also includes contributing to a safe, clean, and well-organized clinical environment and participating in occasional emergency or urgent care as needed. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution and eligibility for licensure in the state of Georgia. Clinical proficiency in small animal medicine, including physical examinations, diagnostics, and development of treatment and preventive care plans. Surgical and dental skills for routine procedures such as spays, neuters, extractions, and basic soft tissue surgery, with a strong focus on patient safety and pain management. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to educate and support pet caregivers, collaborate with team members, and build lasting client relationships. Commitment to compassionate, low-stress handling of animals and adherence to high standards of patient care and medical ethics. Organizational and time-management skills to balance appointments, procedures, documentation, and follow-up care in a busy hospital setting. Comfort with using veterinary practice management software, electronic medical records, and standard diagnostic equipment. Prior experience in small animal practice is preferred, but new graduates with a strong clinical foundation and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
