Maintenance Technician III. Role Purpose Maintenance Technician II independently maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs automated production and fulfillment equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume e-commerce wall art manufacturing facility. This role is critical to maximizing equipment's uptime, sustaining consistent product quality, and ensuring on-time order fulfillment.II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on large-format printers, conveyors, framing machines, miter saws, joiners, CNC machinery, and packaging systemsDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with minimal supervisionTroubleshoot PLC-controlled systems including sensors, actuators, HMIs, barcode scanners, and vision systemsMaintain print systems including printheads, ink delivery systems, and curing units to ensure consistent output qualityPerform equipment setups, changeovers, and calibrations to support high-mix, short-run productionRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsComplete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately in the CMMS (E-Maintenance by Fluke)Conduct equipment inspections and system checks to identify and address potential issues proactivelyIII. Additional Task and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with production, quality, engineering, and IT teams to improve equipment reliability and throughputMaintain tools, parts, and work areas in accordance with 5S standardsFollow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirementsMentor and provide guidance to Maintenance Technician I team membersParticipating in training and skill development programsIV. Professional Experience and Educational QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training in a related field preferred3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in automated manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce fulfillment environmentsWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical (AC/DC), and pneumatic systemsDemonstrated experience troubleshooting PLC-based equipment such as Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens platformsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentBasic computer skills with experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance tracking systemV. Specific Skills and CompetenciesCoursework or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical disciplineHands-on experience with large-format digital printing, CNC equipment, or automated packaging systemsFamiliarity with conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and warehouse automation technologiesKnowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo motors, and three-phase electrical systemsIntermediate electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot circuits and control systemsExperience in high-volume, deadline-driven manufacturing or fulfillment environmentsStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with a systematic approach to problem-solvingExceptional attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality and safetyEffective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentClear and professional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teamsSelf-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to take directionVI.
