Job Title: Bartender

Position Summary

We are looking for a friendly, dependable bartender to join our small-town bar team. The ideal candidate enjoys talking with customers, works well in a close-knit community environment, and can provide excellent service in a relaxed but fast-paced setting. This role includes preparing drinks and taking food orders, maintaining a clean bar area, handling payments, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service
• Check IDs and follow all alcohol service laws and regulations
• Take food and drink orders accurately
• Operate cash register/POS system and handle payments
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, tables, and equipment
• Restock liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, and supplies
• Monitor customer behavior and promote a safe environment
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Build positive relationships with regular customers and community members

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic mixed drinks, beer, and liquor
• Strong communication and people skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service in NY
• TIPS certification or equivalent preferred (if applicable)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 30–50 pounds
• Work in a fast-paced environment
