Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring a positive patient experience. You will assist with both clinical and administrative duties while helping maintain efficient office operations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs

• Prepare charts and review patient information prior to appointments

• Assist providers during examinations and procedures

• Administer injections and perform basic clinical tasks as directed

• Collect and document patient histories

• Coordinate laboratory testing and communicate results as directed

• Process prescription refill requests

• Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling needs

• Manage incoming faxes, scan documents, and maintain accurate medical records

• Assist with prior authorizations and referrals

• Help support billing and revenue cycle activities, including reviewing documentation for completeness

• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies

• Follow HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required

• Previous medical office experience required

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

• Current BLS certification preferred
