Job Summary The job of Paraprofessional is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom(s) with specific responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students; supervising students to maintain an effective learning environment; and assisting teacher/s. This job reports to Assistant Principal.

Requirements / Qualifications- Criminal Background Clearance
- Strength & Agility Test
- Mandated Reporter Trainings
- Tuberculosis Clearance
If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you must include proof of ONE of the following:
- Completion of a Paraprofessional Instructional Assistant course
- Passing score on the District Paraprofessional Exam
- 48 completed college units
- An Associates Degree
