Job Title: Data Intervention Specialist (DIS) Exemption Status/Test: Exempt
Reports To: Principal Date Revised: 2.23.2026 Location: Assigned Campus Contract Length: 197 days
Primary Purpose: Facilitate the efficient use of test data to inform and improve learning for all students. Provide students and teachers with an appropriate testing environment and materials necessary to comply with the regulations and guidelines set forth by the Texas Education Agency. Organize and implement training, assessment preparation and administration policies and procedures for state and local testing. Qualifications Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited university (Masters Preferred) Valid Texas Teacher's certification Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to facilitate meetings and lead data discussions Knowledge of state assessment regulations and guidelines set forth by Texas Education Agency (TEA) Work Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used : Personal computer and peripherals;standard instructional equipment Posture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Frequent walking Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional physical restraint of students to control behavior Environment: Work inside, may work outside Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; may work prolonged or irregular hours Parameters Curriculum & Instruction and Student Services will provide ongoing training, coordinate district meetings, and monitor consistency in assessment and response to intervention. Campus administration will evaluate the performance of their Data Intervention Specialist with input from District Administration.

- Develop and coordinate the identification, evaluation and placement of students eligible under Section 504
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide training and support for staff on 504 requirements
- Coordinates with School Counselor to ensure documentation for Student Support Team (SST) is completed, shared, and stored
- Monitors student testing data and accommodations
- Document accelerated instruction minutes
- Assist in planning and tracking academic interventions
- Train and support staff in SST protocols
- Sets up and coordinates meeting dates and times
- Maintains required paperwork and integrity of the process
- Monitors intervention strategies and timelines
- Coordinates all district assessment and follow-up processes for the campus including but not limited to:
- All State, District & Campus assessments
- State Field Tests
- Serve as Campus Testing Coordinator
- Collect, organize, and interpret student's performance data from assessments
- Prepare assessment data reports to identify trends and areas of need
- Participate in content area data meetings to review student progress
- Maintain security and confidentiality of students
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards and model behavior that is professional, and responsible.
- Participate in professional development to improve skills related to job assignment.
