Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, which include detailed medical histories and physical examinations
- Support the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions by analyzing diagnostic images and laboratory results
- Work alongside surgeons to develop tailored surgical plans that reflect each patient's needs
- Provide critical intraoperative support by preparing surgical environments, ensuring patient safety, and instrument handling
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, focusing on medication management, wound care, discharge processes, and patient education
- Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
- Surgical rotation experience preferred, solidifying your capability in the field
- Valid, unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or the ability to obtain) as a Physician Assistant
- Comprehensive understanding of surgical protocols and sterile procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interpret tests and aid in executing complex clinical decisions
