Field Sales Technologist

Job Details: Job Description: As a Field Support Technologist at Altera, you will provide critical on-site technical support to our customers, ensuring optimal performance and resolution of complex issues related to our semiconductor products and solutions. Responsibilities This role is for North American and potentially expanded to world wide. Focus on customer applications work, such as design conversions, simulations, system architecture proposals, RTL designs, Benchmarking, POC creations Deep dive into various silicon interfaces, such as DSP, Memory controllers, PCIe/DMA, Serdes, and Networking Focus on various vertical segments, such as AI, Data center, Communications, Video, and others. The candidate needs to be familiar with 1 or 2 vertical segment Drive for design win by assisting sales on critical opportunities. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on Altera products at customer sites. Provide technical guidance and training to customers on product usage, maintenance, and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in a field support, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical role within the semiconductor industry. Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, design flows, and development tools (e.g., Quartus Prime). Strong design, RTL, and software background and experiences Proficiency in debugging complex hardware and software systems. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites. Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.
