Student Success Coach

Location: Norton Middle School (Grades 7, 8) Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 Calendar: August 24, 2026 to June 1, 2027 (180 days) NOTE: The person who accepts this position will be an employee of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, but will serve the students at the location above in South Western City Schools. POSITION: Student Success Coach (Title position)

DEFINITION: Under the general supervision of the building principal and state and federal programs coordinator, the employee will assist teachers and building staff to ensure a supportive social- emotional and academic learning environment for all students by coordinating supports provided to students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, other related field (required)

• Teaching or classroom experience (preferred)
• Ability to relate well with students and adults
• Highly organized to deliver results

Reports To: State and Federal Programs Coordinator and Building Principal

Responsibilities

1. Provide resources and assistance for prevention and intervention concerning social- emotional and academic learning to teaching staff, students, and families 2. Participate in staff development workshops, training sessions, meetings, and/or other activities and at the request of the principal 3. Assist with the supervision of students in and out of the classroom as needed 4. Ongoing communication with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administrators 5. Keep records and data of intervention practices and outcomes 6. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor

• Knowledge of MTSS and PBIS (or willing to learn)
• Knowledge of Ohio's Attendance Intervention Plans (or willing to learn)
• Ability to work with students in grades K-8
