Insurance Representative We are looking for a dedicated Insurance Representative to monitor accounts receivable, perform data entry, submit claims, follow up, adjudicate accounts, and carry out general clerical duties within our billing department. The role supports our mission of providing compassionate healthcare while adhering to professional standards. Responsibilities Monitor accounts receivable and maintain billing information. Perform accurate data entry and daily activity reporting. Submit insurance claims and follow up on unresolved claims. Adjudicate accounts and resolve billing inquiries. Maintain file and database integrity, and complete required reports. Explain billing details, address non‑routine matters, and ensure accuracy and timeliness. Develop and maintain productive relationships with physicians, managers, coworkers, patients, families, insurance companies, government agencies, and other personnel. Cross‑train with other billing personnel to provide coverage as needed. Demonstrate teamwork to meet individual, team, and company goals. Assist with other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma required; college coursework preferred. HFMA CPAR certification preferred. 0–5 years of experience in insurance claims billing and follow‑up (hospital or physician practice). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong logical problem‑solving ability and judgment in absence of formal guidelines. Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions, policies, guidelines, and standards. Time‑management and prioritization skills. Working knowledge of medical A/R software and intermediate PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). Detail orientation and basic math competency.
