Unix Systems Administrator, Kendall Park, NJ Shivam Infotech, Inc. seeks a Unix Systems Administrator to customize, configure, install, maintain, and upgrade complex servers, systems, hardware, and supporting software applications for Unix based systems. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement strategies for system database operations, production, upgrades, and maintenance. Configure, maintain, and tune servers and server clusters. Configure, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for production issues in Veritas, SAN, and Solaris servers and computer clusters. Plan and evaluate existing systems and recommend solutions for modifications or enhancements using current and emerging technologies to solve issues. Monitor, manage, and administer regionally dispersed networks, network management, security, or other network related activities. Provide support, analysis, and remediation for server, system, and security infrastructure. Ensure adequate design, capacity options, redundancy, and overall end-to-end system responsiveness. Perform backups of all configurations. Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field and 3 years of work experience. Or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field and 5 years of work experience. Must have experience with Veritas, SAN, Solaris, and server clustering. Travel and relocation to various sites throughout the US may be required. EOE #J-18808-Ljbffr Shivam Infotech
