Inventory Clerk

Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk supports the logistics and supply chain team by coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. This role is responsible for verifying inbound and outbound documentation, monitoring inventory levels, supporting warehouse operations, and serving as a liaison between local operations and corporate supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Check in incoming and outgoing trucks and drivers, assign dock doors, and verify trailer seals.

• Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including Bills of Lading and related paperwork.

• Process receipts in SAP against purchase orders and maintain accurate transaction records.

• Assist with managing and maintaining the facility dock schedule.

• Greet, check in, and support visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel.

• Perform data entry and maintain records using SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other business systems.

• Prepare, package, and ship sample orders as required.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Safely operate a forklift to pick up, transport, and stack materials and pallets.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Monitor inventory levels and identify non-usable, slow-moving, or excess stock, recommending appropriate actions.

• Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and electric pallet wrappers.

• Accurately label finished goods and inventory items.

• Conduct physical inventory counts and verify inventory accuracy for raw materials and finished goods.

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.

• Support continuous improvement efforts in inventory control and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of related inventory, warehouse, logistics, or administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Experience using SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, including the ability to maintain complex spreadsheets.

• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including printers, copiers, and scanners.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, policies, and safety procedures written in English.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with drivers, vendors, and internal teams
