Job Title Clinical Registered Dietitian Employment Type Full Time Shift Day Shift (Hybrid + Flexible Hours, 1 rotating weekend per 5 weeks) Location Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD Job Summary The Clinical Registered Dietitian completes nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner. Responsibilities Complete nutrition assessments and provide medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner. Deliver individualized nutrition care to patients while performing within scope of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary care team and participate in Performance Improvement projects. Provide nutrition education for patients, families, medical and non‑medical staff and community. Support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or verification statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) requirements is required. Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Maryland is required. Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required. Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital staff. Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information and situations. Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred. Must be able to read, speak, and write English with understanding. Pay Range $29.38 - $45.54 hourly, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
