Data SpecialistThe Opportunity: CACI is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive Data Specialist to join our team. The position supports the Interoperability Analysis Branch by conducting data processing, data validation, and event reconstruction of combat system and Tactical Data Links (TDL) datasets. The candidate must possess a strong technical foundation, with competencies in data cleaning and validation, data processing, quality assurance, and data integration, as well as experience with automation tools and adherence to data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of critical operational datasets.ResponsibilitiesSupport both land-based testing and fleet exercises by managing and processing of large tactical datasets, using NSWC Corona analysis tools.Data cleaning, validation, and event reconstruction or track association to prepare datasets for thorough analysis.Work closely with the Interoperability Analysis team and must be proficient in troubleshooting data processing and event reconstruction challenges to maintain data integrity and support analytical objectives.Prepare and present analytical reports that summarize findings through written analysis, data visualizations, and supporting metrics for stakeholders.Qualifications: Required: Proven experience in data processing, cleaning, and validating large and complex datasets. Preferred: Foundational knowledge of tactical data links (TDL), including Link 16. Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization, reporting, and presenting insights. Solid understanding of data management and analytical principles. Ability to translate complex data and findings into clear, concise insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving software tool issues. Expertise in data characterization techniques. Experienced in root cause analysis, identifying underlying issues, analyzing data, and developing actionable solutions to improve processes and outcomes.Demonstrated capability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Advanced proficiency with Excel, macros, pivot tables, and managing intricate datasets. Competence in event reconstruction and/or track association using multiple system data sources. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines under aggressive testing schedules. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance. Must be willing to work on site in Norco CA.
